In Ginza, Tokyo at the moment there’s an art exhibition being held showcasing Neon Genesis Evangelion artwork. The exhibition features over 1300 different works and opened on the 7th of this month and will be open until the 26th. Probably the most interesting thing is the range of customers that the exhibition is bringing in. Asahi Shinbun reported the exhibition and interviewed some of the customers, the people that the interviewed ranged all the way from 21 to 48 years old – this says a couple of things about the anime: namely that its timeless and that its popularity transcends genders. It costs 1000 yen to get in(700 if you’re a student) and following the Ginza exhibition there will also be exhibitions held in Kyuushuu, Nagoya, Osaka and Yokohama.
