Sorry I didn’t make my regular post yesterday everyone(the 3 people that probably read my blog regularly) but I was wrestling with the subtitles for the first episode of the new season of HERO. It was a pretty epic battle, well at least it seemed like it to me. These subtitles absolutely destroyed me. Just as an example, a regular episode of BORDER had around 420 lines of dialogue on average which wasn’t bad at all – probably the easiest I’ve ever had it with a series. This first episode of HERO 2014 had an extension and totalled around 1200 lines of dialogue. I’m surprised I even had a final draft done within the day. Anyway, now these are out and the special extension is out of the way I’ll probably be able to do the rest of the episodes at a steady(read sane) pace.
The same thing that I always say goes with these subtitles. You can translate them into another language without my permission, just give me credit somewhere. Do not hard-code these and then re-upload them on your site without my permission. I spent like 8 hours on these, don’t be rude and just ask me. It’s not like I’m going to say no anyway. If you want to re-upload the subtitles themselves ask me for permission too. If you want to link to this post, my blog itself, my Twitter or the D-Addicts thread go ahead I have nothing against any of that. This drama airs every Monday night in Japan so probably expect my releases to come out on Wednesday or Thursday every week(I’m being pessimistic). As always they are timed to the Fransu’s releases which you can find over at JDramaCity, a wonderful blog that offers descriptions of dramas from this season. Okay that’s enough chat, here are the episodes for Episode 1 of HERO 2014. I hope you enjoy them.
