So what I’m going to do from here on in is just update this post and bring it to the top of the queue when I do up some new subtitles for this series(and any other series I translate after this for that matter). If you follow the link to this post you’ll be able to find the subtitles for every episode of Glass no Ie up to the current one. Anyway hit the jump for the links and all the details.
If you don’t know already this is a series about a 3 person family, two sons and a father. Their mother died in a plane crash when they were only young children so their Dad(who is now a big-wig politician) raised them all by himself. In the first episode the father(Kazu) reveals to his two sons (Hitoshi and Kenji) that he wants to re-marry. The woman that he wants to marry(Rei) lost her parents in the same accident that took the boy’s mother, but she lost both of them. She was 14 at the time, which means that she is substantially younger than Kazu. They get married and she moves in to their house and everything starts going wrong because Hitoshi starts to harbour feelings for her. That’s the main draw of the drama. It also has a political side plot but it’s pretty thinly veiled so I won’t write anything more about it. I hope this brief explanation of it made you wanna watch it.
Ok so, the disclaimer with these is simple. If you want to upload them anywhere you need to get my permission first. If you want to link to this site, or the D-Addicts post where I add the subtitles your free to do so without any permission. Clear? Good. I’m such a horrible person. Below are the links to each episode that I’ve done so far. I keep forgetting to translate text messages and stuff like that, but I’ll try and make a concentrated effort to translate all text after Episode 4 too. Anyway, I hope you enjoy watching this twisted love-story! And yes, the subtitles are now officially being hosted on my site’s server so no more MediaFire, great right?
