Watashi no Kirai na Tantei Episode 8[Final] English.

Wow, what a journey. I had some free time for once this morning so I decided to just spend a couple of hours and finish off the last episode(Episode 8) of Watashi no Kirai na Tantei. I can’t believe I made it through another drama this season and didn’t have any slip-ups like last time. Maybe I’m just getting better at translating things or managing my time? Either way while I’m happy to see this series go I feel like a pretty big weight has been lifted off my shoulders at the same time because I’ll finally be able to start on something new this season.

Same thing goes as always, if you want to translate this into another language or link to my website you’re free to to do without my permission. Don’t upload these anywhere else with my permission(I bet you’re going to anyway and you probably won’t even read this if you intend to). Thanks to everybody who has kept watching this series all the way through to the end. I don’t think I could have done it without the constant support that I received in the comments every week when I uploaded a new release. I’m not sure what my next translation project will be yet but I should figure it out within the next week or two. There should also be some pretty big changes with the site, which I want to get onto once I finish another unrelated project(which is probably 85% finished now, finally). Anyway I hope you enjoy the final episode of Kirai na Tantei. They’re timed to Fransu’s release.

  1. Thanks so much for finishing so promptly!

You know what they say, “Practice makes perfect’. You are probably getting better/faster at translating, and possibly better at managing your time.

For quite a while I was translating English subs into French for some French fans of Japanese dramas. Unfortunately I had to start from subs done by Malaysians. I was grateful to them, but their English was poor, plus they made translation errors, which complicated the job. Yet little by little I got better and faster.

  2. Thank you for translating this series. Your efforts in bringing programs like this to an English literate audience are greatly appreciated. I am looking forward to your future translations.

  3. Thank you!! You’re really getting better at subbing with every episode 🙂 And this drama was not easy at all to translate – they spoke a looooooooooooot, very fast and used lots of colloquialisms – I must admit that sometimes I’d be lost completely without you! Plus it is SO MUCH easier to re-translate from English than directly from Japanese (well, I am just dumb maybe, but I still cannot combine Japanese with any other language than English, lol).
Thank you again – I’ll be waiting with bated breath for the new season of your work 🙂

    • There were actually a few jokes in it I just could not translate into English properly so I replaced them with other stuff. Not a lot but a few. I hope I am getting better and I can’t wait for the next season so I can try out something new. Hopefully I can get onto something massively popular quicker this time.

  4. thank you very much for subbing this drama…
I really appreciate your hard work…
once again, thank you very much…

  5. Thank you so much for subbing this drama. I have not finished watching yet, but I am enjoying it quite a bit. For those of us with poor language skills, I would like to make sure you know how much we appreciate you who are willing to use your skills to translate these shows. I look forward to whatever you choose to translate this season.

  6. Thanks for your hard work into subbing this show! Absolutely loved the last episode, especially when Ryouhei reenacts his Kamen Rider Wizard henshin pose!
